Your Role
The Finance co-op will be responsible for completing month-end close tasks relating to closing the GL, assisting with the annual financial statement audit, leading projects related to documentation, assisting with the preparation of external financial reporting documents, internal controls documentation, and providing project management support on key.
What You Will Accomplish
- Support the finance team in the execution of their strategic plans
- Support the Controllership team by preparing reconciliations for the monthly GL close
- Support the financial statement audit process, engaging with the Magnet team and our external auditors
- Support the Financial Reporting Team by assisting with financial statement preparation and internal controls documentation
- Support special projects where required

We're looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes. It's more important to us to find a candidate who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experience they have been a part of, than to find folks who have "been there, done that". We want to be a part of your development journey, and we'll learn as much from you as you learn from us.
There are a couple must haves, but we will keep that list short:
- You are working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business or Economics (specializing in Accounting is considered an asset but not required)
- You have an analytical mind, and enjoy finding solutions to complex problems
- You love numbers, analyzing large datasets, and building financial models
- You like working in a fast paced, collaborative environment with smart and interesting people
