Job description

Jubilee Office Supplies is a family-owned business with their sales and marketing office based centre of Beckenham, Kent. Jubilee is a growing business focusing on the supply of Office Furniture, Office Stationery, Branded Merchandise, and commercial print. Jubilee is a partner business in the Office Power Group with combined sales volumes c. £40m.

As Finance Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of Jubilee’s finances, ensuring effective delivery and management. You will be responsible for strengthening procedures to monitor company performance against budget and forecast and communicating this proactively with the owner.

We are looking for someone local to work part time (20-25 hours per month) with our dynamic sales team of 6. You will be expected to have a “can do” attitude and to work independently as well as with the team. There will be flexibility to work at home as well as in the office with hours fitting around the school day a possibility. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a track record of achievement and experience, working in small and medium sized companies.

The responsibilities include:

· Manage the company payroll and pension auto-enrolment scheme

· Manage the purchase ledger and sales ledger

· Reconcile the bank and credit card accounts; update all bank mandates and be main point of contact for all banking matters

· Prepare the monthly profit and loss with analysis of gross margin

· Reconcile the balance sheet accounts

· Develop good relations with the sales team and all stakeholders

· Prepare annual budgets and bi-annual forecasts

· Manage and prepare the year end accounts, working with company auditors

· Be responsible for all tax matters, VAT and PAYE

· Maintain best practice internal controls

Experience required:

· Minimum 5 years post qualification experience

· Strong proficiency in Excel and experience in Xero

· An organised, proactive and deadline focused approach

· Good use of initiative and attention to detail

Salary is £50,000-£55,000 on a pro-rata basis.
