About us
As part of the Misumi Group, Dayton Progress are one of the world’s largest manufacturers and distributers of high precision Punches, Dies, and Die components for the Press & Mold Tool Industries. In addition, we also have a comprehensive capability in manufacturing high precision “special tooling” to customer drawings.
Due to a cyber-attack earlier in the year we lost our accounting system and data. After a recent unfortunate event we have lost our Finance and Accounting Manager.
We are now in the process of building a new Sage 200 Professional based system, and we require a person to help build, modify, maintain and work with this new system.
This is an exciting position for an experienced Finance Manager, who enjoys a challenge and would enjoy heavy involvement and ownership of current and future projects in addition to their daily accounting tasks.
Job Description:
- Bookkeeping (general ledger + side ledgers i.e. fixed assets, AP and AR)
- Payroll
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Treasury & Liquidity planning
- Budgeting/forecasting
- Support and complete Statutory audit
- Taxation
- Preparing Tax Returns in a timely manner
- Accounts Payable processing in a timely and accurate manner
- Controlling Accounts Receivable
- Communicator to external stakeholders (legal, tax, internal/external audit)
- Financial analysis
- Management consulting/ad-hoc analysis on financial impacts of projects/decisions
- Handle import and export documentation
Your Profile:
- At least 5 years work experience as an accountant
- You must have extensive experience of Sage 200 Professional. Operation & Development
- Have sound knowledge of MS Office particularly strong in Excel
- Analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
- In-depth knowledge of UK accounting.
- Very good organizational skills
- High social, intercultural and communicative competence
- Team Player
- Initiative
Advantageous but not essential:
- IT affinity to support our EU IT in the administration of project implementation
- Knowledge of HR practises
- Company Handbook management
- Warehouse stock control
- Experience of working in a Sales environment, preferably in engineering
- Knowledge of Power BI

Location:
We are quite flexible and can accommodate; Hybrid, On-Premise or working from home. However the correct person should be able to travel to Kenilworth easily to visit or work at our premises when needed.
