Job description
I am delighted to be partnering with a market leading organisation based in Ipswich seeking to recruit a Finance Manager in a newly created role responsible for the management and supervision of the Finance team and to ensure the high-quality delivery of day-to-day accounting and tax deliverables and providing strategic support to the Finance Director.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure day to day accounting and tax tasks are completed to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Ensure evolving management reporting and analysis requirements are met keeping pace with our growing, changing business.
- Develop a deep understanding of all processes within the department, focusing on financial controls, quality of service, and efficiency.
- Manage the team providing support, leadership and developing them as finance professionals and individuals, ensuring they achieve their personal and team goals.
- Proactively work to understand the product range, route to market and business as a whole and therefore the drivers behind the financials.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, auditors, and other departments within the business.
- Over time, seek to develop the Finance Manager role aligned with the planned continued growth of the business, including providing strategic support to the Finance Director.
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and will possess strong finance credentials with at least two years’ experience at this level. Furthermore, you will possess a proven progressive background gained in a medium size business either in industry or in practice. You will show strong people skills, the ability to lead and motivate the team whilst working collaboratively with stakeholders and must bring a proactive and positive can-do attitude.
