JOB TITLE – Finance Mangement Assistant

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

The Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for day to day accounting procedures

Experience & Profile:

Previous experience in a similar role is required (at least 5 years general accounts experience)
AAT level 4 or equivalent would be an advantage, though good experience acceptable.

Duties - the post holder will:

Reconcile bank accounts
Process entries & nominal ledger accounts
Code purchase invoices/credits
Input purchase invoices/credits onto the accounting software system (Xero)
Reconcile supplier statements & resolve any queries
Maintain the aged debtors account
Monthly process journals in Xero
Cash flow forecasting
Complete month-end procedures up to & including the trial balance
Production of monthly management accounts
Assist during the annual audit process
Monitor the Finance Mailbox and dealing with queries
Be Friendly, outgoing and approachable.

Essential skills:

Experience in a similar role including the use of a recognised accounting system
Experience in bank, supplier & nominal ledger reconciliations
Experience in online bank payment processes
Excellent Excel skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
A professional, assertive & confident individual
Numeracy skills to interpret & analyse data
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Discretion and confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

Salary: £32,500.00-£37,500.00 per year
