About the role:
As an Finance Lead reporting to the VP of Finance & Operations, you will manage a small but mighty team including our Financial Controller and immediately be tasked with hiring an additional team member, bringing more of the function inhouse as we scale.
What you’ll do:
- Ownership of the entire accounting function: to ensure a smooth operation. Manage financial reporting, analysis, and compliance to support the company's financial goals and investment plans.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team: Recruit, develop, and manage a team of finance professionals. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented environment to maximize team productivity and effectiveness.
- Drive strategic financial planning: Collaborate with FP&A and sales leaders to develop accurate forecasting, analytics, and planning processes. Provide actionable insights and intelligence to support predictable sales outcomes.
- Align company goals with financial priorities: Work closely with leadership and finance teams to align company objectives with the financial plan. Establish evaluation methods to assess return on investment across the business.
- Own the financial model and growth plan: Take ownership of the company's financial model and growth plan. Manage cash flow, set budgets, and identify opportunities to optimize expenses and reduce burn rate.
Who you are :
- Proven track record in leading and managing the finance and accounting function within a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Experience working in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools and data analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA etc).
- Nice to have: Previous involvement in fundraising or scaling Finance and/or Accounting teams during periods of hyper-growth in early-stage startups, preferably from Series A through to Series C or D.
- Nice to have: Specialisation in B2B SaaS with AI/Deep Tech experience or a strong interest in Computer Vision AI.
- Nice to have: A passion and curiosity for staying updated on industry trends and emerging financial tech for SaaS.

Compensation Range: £90K - £110K
