About the Role

We are recruiting for two Finance Interns which sit within the Commercial Finance Team and work alongside our Financial Analysts to help ASOS deliver on its Financial and Commercial objectives. These positions provide the opportunity for you to gain a broad understanding of the role finance plays in a modern business environment and gain the key skills and experiences you will need to pursue a future career in Finance or related fields.

About the Team

The Commercial Finance team are responsible for short and long term forecasting of all KPIs, and providing insight and analysis to support or challenge business strategies. The team provides the business with detailed analysis on sales, costs, profitability and behavioural trends and is a vital support function to all departments across ASOS.

Within Commercial Finance we also have a dedicated Supply Chain Finance team who work with the Logistics Leadership team to optimise our logistics and delivery networks, ensuring we have a cost-effective and high performing service to our customers across every global region.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Extracting & interpreting data to measure the success of the business
  • Playing a key part in planning & delivering monthly actuals and reforecasting; including setting up monthly meetings, posting accruals and prepayments, analysing variances between actuals and forecasts & maintaining all forecast & cost schedules
  • Supporting the Finance team on current initiatives
  • Producing weekly and monthly reporting in a timely and accurate manner and updating the Finance Manager on key highlights and trends
  • Any other ad hoc analysis
  • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Qualifications


Who We’d Like to Meet

  • A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data
  • Commercially aware and able to overcome complex challenges
  • An ability to be proactive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment susceptible to change
  • Computer literate, with experience using tools for data analysis including Excel
  • Strong communication skills with a range of stakeholders.
