Job description
At Seatfrog, we're remaking the rail category with our innovative platform, changing the game for rail operators and passengers alike. We pioneered a new way for rail operators to sell unsold first-class seats; generating incremental revenue and providing passengers with incredible upgrade deals.
We've come a long way since then. We’ve revolutionised the way people can travel by rail; expanded our platform allowing passengers to buy train tickets, upgrade them to 1st class, swap their trains at the last minute and much more. But we're not done yet - we have an exciting roadmap that will transform the way people experience rail travel, for good.
As Finance Director you’ll partner with the leadership team to ensure we’re driving growth, building a well oiled machine and maintaining a financial infrastructure and team that supports our journey into the new age of travel. We’ve outlined a few pointers around what we’re looking for below, but we still want to hear from you even if you don’t think you hit 100% of the criteria; we don’t want perfection to stand in the way of greatness!
You’ll:
- Report directly to the CEO
- Have experience in an environment where high volume transactions are the norm
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and model forecasting processes
- Manage financial reporting, including monthly and annual financial statements, management information packs and analysis
- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, working capital, and financial risk management
- Provide strategic guidance on pricing, revenue strategy, and cost management measures
- Collaborate closely with the executive team and heads of departments to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
- Build close and trusted relationships with institutional investors, and bring experience in raising capital across the funding spectrum
- Manage and build a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
We’re looking for:
- A qualified accountant (ACC or ACCA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Finance Director in a scaling technology business
- Experience in successfully leading funding rounds and engaging with investors
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations to drive business performance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing finance team
