Position Summary
We are recruiting for a focused individual to join the Nestlé Professional (NP) Finance team reporting into the NP Finance Manager. This really is an exciting role, where you will work closely with the Category, Sales, and Marketing teams, and support functions to support NP’s operational and strategic priorities. Nestle Professional sells and markets Food & Beverage products across all Out of Home Channels such as Business & Industry, Hotels, Restaurants, Pubs and Leisure. The product range includes Nescafe Soluble coffee, Beverage Coffee Solutions for Azera and Starbucks, Maggi Savoury Food, Garden Gourmet Plant based products and branded dessert ingredients.
A day in the life of a Finance Business Partner
This role gives full P&L ownership for the Nestlé Professional; you will be providing the business and financial acumen necessary to achieve the financial objectives across the full P+L: top line revenue growth and effective cost management. You will evaluate customer investment opportunities, new product innovations and new business models and assist the Category Manager to develop the strategic direction for the 3-year planning horizon. You will also be responsible for leading projects within our Food business and wider Nestle in the Market Finance function.
You’ll also:
- Help lead the monthly business planning process providing transparency and challenge in the process to deliver both top line and bottom line targets.
- Key contributor in the 3-year business plan translating business ideas into sound financial plans and sharing with key stakeholders.
- Prepare and evaluate financials on customer tenders ensuring that there is a return on our investment.
- Work closely with the UK category and EMENA teams on new product developments and launches, setting pricing, customer investments and pre/post evaluations.
- Manage the profitability of the business by understanding each line of the P&L and looking for efficiencies.
- Contribute to the development of new business models with a test and learn mind-set.
- Working closely with the Group Finance teams to ensure correct month end processes and controls are in place.
What will make you successful?
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Accountant with a breadth of finance experience, including commercial finance already under your belt. You’ll be self-sufficient and results focused with great analytical skills. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy for NP. You’ll also have great communication skills that enable you to challenge and influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive stakeholder relationships. Being proactive and challenging in order to generate business is necessary, as is having a real desire to get to the heart of issues that may arise. Coupled with your ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that is very often ambiguous and sometimes pressured.
