Finance Business Partner
(Gosforth)
Purpose of the Role:
The Finance Business Partner is a highly trusted professional supporting the business to drive outstanding results through value adding insight and analysis, adapting with the changing needs of the business whilst embedding quality and efficient processes and continuous improvement.
Objectives of the Role:
- Support Income Stream leaders to drive performance through insight and commercial acumen
- Work with stakeholders to proactively enhance the commercial viability of the parks and associated initiatives, whilst ensuring relevant measures are in place to keep KPIs/OKRs on track
- Continually review key metrics to ensure that KPIs/OKRs are driving the right behaviours
- Provide challenge to business stakeholders, whilst maintaining strong working relationships
- Through your insight and commercial analysis, you will identify potential risks and opportunities, and work with Directors to implement mitigating or maximising actions
- Business case development for long term park investment plans
- Carry out business planning, budgeting and forecasting exercises along with Income stream / cost leads. Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to ensure an efficient and thorough approach is carried out
- Provide guidance on financial controls and rigour; work collaboratively with internal audit to ensure appropriate control environment is maintained on park
- Communicate performance to management, supporting them to understand implications of p&l movements, trends and variances. Support management in monthly Financial reviews with senior management
- Assist with the development of action plans to address performance shortfalls, supporting management in monitoring progress and reporting on outcomes.
- Provide training and education to a range of stakeholders where appropriate
- Work with the other Finance Business Partners and the wider finance community to identify and communicate best practice through the business.
- Develop and champion more effective use of data by colleagues across the business (eg. Power BI Revenue Insight products) to support better understanding and commerciality

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in driving business planning/forecasting exercises
- Experience in retail/hospitality MI and reporting would be extremely beneficial
- Outstanding financial analysis skills, with the ability to gather, manipulate and present large quantities of data effectively
- A number of years PQE in industry
- Professional capabilities in Excel and other Microsoft tools
- Well-organized and able to develop and monitor plans to meet agreed deadlines;
- Previous experience with Revenue MI and drivers, as well as cost control

- Newcastle Central Support Office / Hybrid, dependent on business need
