Where in the world of OVO will I be working? This role sits within the Capital Allocation team within OVO who provide strategic financial support to assist the OVO Retail Senior Leaders in driving progress towards net zero carbon living. The Operations, Product, and Technology sub-team is primarily focused on the £0.5bn Opex budget across the organisation. What will I be doing? The Operations Senior Business Partner will provide support to the Chief Operating Officer and their leadership teams. Key responsibilities include: Partner with senior leaders across the organisation (C-suite, VPs, Directors) providing financial insight into strategic and tactical decisions as well as past business performance Facilitate and challenge the bi-annual financial forecasting process, working between the Business and FP&A to ensure robust financial plans are delivered in line with agreed timescales, balancing stretch and credibility Input into the production and maintenance of the schedule of Group financial risks and opportunities Support the business in managing the investment of their budget and spend, developing guidance for decision making, including business casing where applicable. Communicate actionable insight from month-end reporting Provide business Insight to the Accounting and Reporting team as part of the production of month end results Provide finance expertise and support to adhoc group projects as required Input to production of leadership team financial plans Act as critical friend Review financial outcomes of decisions for future learning Act as a mentor to help develop finance professionals across the business Provide finance support to the transition to the new model of Squads of Zero Carbon Living Advisors Provide analysis of the cost base to enable the comparison of the Cost to Serve of different customer sets Provide finance support as we transition between onshore and offshore support models for different areas of Care and Collections Provide finance expertise to assess the impact on our cost base as we drive efficiencies across our organisation Provide ad hoc support to other areas of the Chief Operating Officer’s leadership team Is this the job for me? Ideally you will have: Finance professional with experience of solving business issues of similar scale and complexity Ability to Interpret and assimilate multiple data sources to provide meaningful insight and appropriate recommendations and clear actions Effectively communicating financial performance to operational colleagues to embed financial understanding within the business An effective communicator Influence strategy and translate this into actionable programmes, opportunities or activities that result in improved profitability or risk mitigation Able to manage multiple complex projects/processes simultaneously Operationally and commercially focused Brilliant benefits for a world-changing teamOur people are at the heart of Plan Zero.
