The role & team You will join a highly valued and progressive Business Finance Team in the Corporate Function, with exposure to key decision makers in the Group. The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in the team, as you will provide financial business partnering to key departments and budget holders within Kindred and be responsible for running the planning cycles, reporting and analysis and being the primary contact for stakeholders. What will you do (not limited to, but includes): Act as Trusted Partner to key departments and Budget Holders within Kindred - ensuring stakeholders understand their P&L and long-term impact/plans. Understand Performance to drive decision making through analysis and insights. Provide recommendations to improve and optimise spend. Proactively understand key risks (where relevant). Own the Budget process for your area and support in preparation of financial forecasts that are realistic and aligned to company strategic objectives. Look for opportunities to utilise systems to improve processes and increase efficiency. Support Financial Control with month end and take the lead role from a Business Finance perspective. Own key team processes and support ad hoc projects as and when needed. Proactively keeps up to date with industry trends. Expectations from you Build your knowledge through your time in this role of the wider business. Be able to operate across and influence various level of stakeholders. Proactively support and deliver the team objectives to manage the cost budget - Highlight key performance trends and obtain insights to understand the “so what” impact to the Group. Ensure costs are reported accurately in line with accounting standards & business reality. Be innovative and drive process improvements and better ways of working. What key skills/qualifications are we looking for? Finalist level/Qualified Finance Professional - ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent Have a sound level Financial and Commercial Acumen Analysis and Insights - able to add value to stakeholders and drive better decision making. Able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Advanced Excel and Good PowerPoint Skills - able to analyse data and present in a “smart” way to “tell the story”. Passion for the gambling industry & knowledge of our products a big advantage How you will be measured? Objective and Key Results - set through year and reviewed Quarterly with Line Manager Ability to deliver wider team objectives and support - feedback from team and stakeholders.
