About the position:
Performs routine accounting/finance activities in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or other related areas.
Job responsibilities:
- Clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in general accounting, accounts payable,
accounts receivable or related financial area. - Contact other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems.
- Work with internal and external personnel or resources to adjust systemic issues to improve
effectiveness and efficiency of processes for the department. - Write and update standard work instructions for processes.
- Perform analysis of complex issues encountered and resolves appropriately.
- Perform computer tasks including complex word processing and spreadsheet manipulation, as well as utilizing
complex software packages. - Handle complex special administrative projects/accounts that are essential to the department and/or the
- Complete month-end processes, prepares supporting documentation for activities/adjustments requiring analysis
and judgement.
About you:
- An Associate's Degree is preferred
- One or more years of related work experience is preferred
- Excellent typing and data entry skills
- Microsoft Excel experience required
- General knowledge of subject matter
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to resolve routine and non-routine questions or problems
- Possess a high level of attention to detail when inputting and verifying data to ensure accurate records
- Broad knowledge of administrative systems and procedures including managing files and records, word processing, utilizing a variety of complex software packages, etc.
About the schedule:
This position works 8-5 and reports onsite in Greene, NY. This position may be available for one day working from home after the training and orientation period.
About the total compensation package:
Wages- Starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be between $18.50 - $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications of selected candidate
