Treasury Assistant
Permanent, 37 hours a week (Monday to Friday), Full Time
We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Finance Team as one of our Finance Assistants.
We are a forward thinking, values driven housing association. This role is agile in nature, working from home for up to 50% of your time, with the remainder based in our Rockingham Street office in Sheffield.

Job Description
The Treasury Assistant role is responsible to the Treasury Accountant and provides accounting & compliance service to the SYHA group.
The salary is £24,675 with generous holiday entitlement of 27 days annual leave, statutory bank holidays and an additional 4 SYHA days. You will:
- help and support other team members in providing financial services to the Association
- carry out month end duties, including reconciliations, while working alongside the Treasury Accountant maintaining the Association’s loan portfolio requirements and cashflow forecasting
- perform any other duties within the spirit of the job as required by the Treasury Accountant
- be supported within the role to improve your skills and prepare you to as you develop in your finance career

You will be an enthusiastic, optimistic, resilient, and flexible individual with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with a wide range of people and work effectively in collaboration with a variety of staff.
Our ideal candidate can also:
- demonstrate a good understanding of accounting principles and techniques
- have intermediate spreadsheet skills (vlookup, sumifs etc.)
- apply a positive and proactive attitude to managing time and workload in order to meet reporting deadlines
- have the ability to solve problems relating to systems and controls quickly and effectively
- AAT desirable
