Job Description:
Are you ready to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team as a Hotel Finance Assistant at The Reach at Piccadilly? If you have a passion for numbers, a knack for organisation, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Cluster Financial Controller with day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Processing invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner.
- Reconciling financial discrepancies and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial information and support for various hotel initiatives.
- Supporting the finance team in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assisting with payroll administration and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Participating in inventory management and monitoring cost control measures.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proactive mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and experience with hotel finance operations is desirable.
