The role of the Corporate Account Manager (Mortgage Intermediaries) is to deliver HSBC’s Intermediaries mortgage growth ambitions through the development and leveraging of quality, meaningful relationship with selected partners at national, regional, local and consultant level.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of HSBC mortgage products, policy and processes supported through strong internal relationships especially with the Corporate operational areas: underwriting Services, Complex Underwriting and Mortgage Services.
- Manage a portfolio of Corporate and Key Accounts operating at all levels and within all departments from Director through to support functions.
- Ensure Corporate Account governance is completed within guidelines and work closely with internal stakeholders to manage Corporate outcomes
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of your partners’ business, including business strategy, structure, business written, customer base profile, distribution strategy, and competitor relationships
- Work closely with the BDM team to maximise opportunities identified at Corporate Account level
- Monitor progress against business objectives, re-evaluating Corporate Account Plans, agreeing and implementing remedial activity as required.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to broaden the relationship/ product portfolio, maximise potential, and add value to all parties.
- Manage the appraisal of appropriate stakeholders in respect of any relationship issues/opportunities that are identified through emerging developments with your allocated Corporate Account portfolio.
- Identify new Corporate Accounts and manage the process from identification, through due diligence to boarding
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Relevant product knowledge including in depth knowledge of the Mortgage Intermediary market
- Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Proven relationship management skills
- Proven experience of leading the delivery of an excellent customer service at BDM Level
- A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways
- Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
- Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
- Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results
- A track record of making strategic business decisions, considering relevant risks, long term implications, commercial realities and stakeholders'' needs
- Experience of successful budget management and use of numerical data to assesses and report on performance and/or identify business issues and opportunities
- Handled basic lending effectively with a broad understanding of lending processes, products and their associated risks
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
- Experience of building and managing complex relationships with significant customers
