A business based in Scarborough is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful individual will receive a competitive salary, reflective and dependent on experience and qualifications, as well as 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, private health care, attractive Monday to Friday working hours (with early finish on Friday), and further.
The Finance Assistant is an integral part of the Finance Team, who will take ownership of the purchase ledger, credit card and personal expenses process. In addition, the successful candidate will assist other members of the team as required, e.g. invoice processing and management accounts.
Reporting into the Senior Management Accountant, key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include:
- Processing credit card and personal expenses reports on our expenses system
- Ensuring employees are up to date with expenses and provide help with the system
- Liaise with payroll to ensure personal expenses are paid in a timely manner
- Responding to queries regarding expenses
- Supporting purchase ledger with invoice processing
- Supporting with monthly management accounts
- Other reporting and duties as required
- Ad hoc duties throughout the wider finance team
To be successful in this Finance Assistant role, you will ideally have/be:
- Have previous finance experience, ideally dealing with expenses or purchase ledger
- Have intermediate MS Excel skills and be confident user of IT systems or accountancy software such Sage, Quickbooks or Xero
- Be enthusiastic and self-motivated, as well as be able to work in a small team

Based in Scarborough, this role is commutable from Bridlington, Filey, Hummanby, Whitby, Malton and surrounding areas, with onsite parking available. This role is also commutable via public transport, via bus if the candidate lives local to Scarborough.
