Job description

Ashbrookes comprises a group of businesses focused on property. the group offers an end to end capability to clients with services ranging from sourcing, design, build, lettings and sales to retail and commercial clients all based from a Middlesbrough head office. The business is growing in the local market and has acquired a number of premier development sites which has led to the need for additional staff.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supporting the Accounts Finance Manager

· Intercompany recharges and assisting with reconciliations

· Manage our loan book across various projects.

· Keep close track of project costs and ensure they are correctly and fully reflected in our accounting software.

· Reviewing all bank accounts on a daily basis

· Assisting Finance Manager with reviewing all companies monthly accounts

· Managing utilities and company insurance

· Sales invoicing

· Sending out customer statements & assisting with reconciling customer accounts

· Reviewing creditors and setting up payments on a weekly basis

· Reviewing quarterly VAT returns with Accountants

· Manage all finance inboxes

· Chasing payments/invoices, liaison with creditors and debtors

· CIS – registrations/compliance

· Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Finance Manager/Directors

Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience of working in both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

· Strong MS Excel Skills

· Knowledge of accounting packages such as Quickbooks and Sage (desirable)

· Previous experience working in Real Estate and knowledge to understand the industry specific terminology (desirable)

· Previous experience of CIS (desirable)

· AAT Qualification or similar

· Numerate and logical

· Good organisation and time planning skills

· Clear communicator, both written and verbally
