
Finance Assistant (Billings) Manchester, England
Job description
In this role you will have responsibility for the delivery of accurate client billing and individual job management. Specifically this will involve:
- Reviewing jobs on a regular basis ensuring costs are billed accurately and on a timely basis.
- Developing a basic understanding of key client contracts/terms of business, relating to fees and charges, billing procedures, menu costings, expenses, and ensuring that invoices raised are in accordance with these agreed terms.
- Ensuring correct accounting for revenue, compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies, and ensuring revenue is correctly allocated to relevant departments.
- Ensuring relevant documentation with regard to Purchase Order numbers and client authorisation is received and retained, and complies with relevant client agreements, revenue recognition accounting standards and internal policies.
- Producing billing and reconciling with client schedules when required.
- A genuine interest in progressing a career in Commercial Finance / Accountancy
- A methodical and thorough approach to your work with good organisation skills.
- Numerate and proficient in the use of Excel
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial matters to non-Finance people.
