We are a startup business (an Accounting practice and a data analysis firm based in Westbourne Grove) however we are growing and there is an opportunity to grow with the business to build and lead the team in the future.
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team and assist with the day-to-day financial operations of our organisation.This role is 75% producing and distributing reports for the data analysis side of the business for our clients mainly in telecom. The remaining 25% part of the role is for the accounting practice working for clients producing management accounts, VAT, bookkeeping etc. Training will be provided for the role however the successful candidate should be a self starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently by identifying and completing the task without a lot of guidance.
Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The right candidate will have a strong accounting background, with focus on financial analysis and reporting. We are looking for a part-qualified/finance graduate with experience of the following:
Advanced Excel skills (Lookups, Multiple if statements formulas etc.) a must with at least one years’ experience working with large data sets
Data variance analysis and reconciliation experience
“Hands on” attitude with good attention to detail essential.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver results.
Ability to organise and prioritise the tasks.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a wide range of tasks, including tracking and reporting revenue, ensuring that all reports are prepared on time and accurately. The day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and distribution of daily flash and discount reporting which summarise branch performance on sales volume and gross profit on a transactional basis for all clients
- Preparation and distribution of monthly final gross profit reports and commissions statement for clients with tailored commission schemes for sales staff
- Preparation and distribution of monthly churn data and summary reports for clients
- Preparation and distribution of the weekly cash and credit card report ensuring accuracy and deadline for clients
- Preparation of monthly e-pay and accessory margin reports
- Reconciliation of commissions paid versus expected and file claims and re-queries for clients each quarter
- Quarterly Bookkeeping for different clients quarterly to produce VAT returns and management accounts
- Annual Personal Tax return accounts preparation and submission
- Various ad hoc reports as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Graduate
Salary: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
