Job description
Red and Blue Mechanical Services are seeking to appoint a motivated, diligent Finance Administrator to manage their accounts payable and receivable. The successful applicant will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to suppliers and sub-contractors and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts. A background in Finance or Accounting along with a familiarity with bookkeeping is essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage obligations to suppliers and customers
· Reconcile financial statements and invoices
· Submit VAT returns
· Prepare, send and store invoices
· Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
· Review and file payroll documents (processed externally)
· Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
· Allocation of expenses to jobs on Xero Projects to enable profitability to be tracked.
· Maintain digital and physical financial records

Requirements and skills
· An excellent communicator who is hard working and diligent.
· Experience of using accounting software essential. Xero (preferred) or equivalent (with the ability to get up to speed with Xero quickly)
· Previous experience as a Finance Administrator or similar role
· Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
· Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, along with Microsoft Teams for meetings.
· Good organisational and time-management skills.
Qualifications in Finance or Accounting (preferred), but not essential with strong enough relevant experience.
