Park Plaza Victoria is currently on the lookout for a Finance Assistant to join the finance team.
Your role as a Finance Assistant will include:
- Preparation of all monthly management accounts
- Creation and posting of journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and monthly reports
- Responsible for uploading financial information into SUN, SAP, and Board, ensuring consistency across all systems
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet
- Prepare VAT submissions and submit to the AFC for approval
- reconciliations with relevant commentary for variances
- Shows appropriate urgency in acting when problems arise
- Highlights any errors or inaccuracies to the AFC immediately
- Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes and procedures
- Engages in active collaboration within the finance community to identify opportunities for process improvements and best ways of working
- Provides support for internal and external auditors
- Ensuring the accuracy of hotel ledgers and compliance with the accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices
- With previous experience as Front Office Receptionist or Night Auditor with an interest in Accounting
