Post Title: Finance Administrator
Hours: Full Time or Part Time (30 Hours+ preferred)
Accountable To: Operations Manager
Location of Work: Walsall, West Midlands
Pay: Starting Salary of £21,500+ (Dependant on experience)
Pension: Auto-enrolment into the government regulated NEST pension scheme
Overall Objective of the Role
The post holder will provide finance support to OurNet Health Services Ltd and the Walsall
Primary Care Networks (PCNs).
PCNs aim to further improve access, availability and quality of primary care services to local people and are based on GP registered lists serving communities of around 30,000 to 50,000.
A key feature of practices coming together, is introducing new additional roles into general practice which helps GPs focus their skills where they are most needed.
OurNet works closely with the Walsall PCNs to provided services and staffing to aid their delivery of the NHS England DES. OurNet is also the provider of the Walsall Enhanced Access service offering daily primary care appointments to Walsall registered patients.
The post holder will be an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the business.
Main Duties:
- Assist with reconciling finance accounts
- Maintaining accurate spreadsheets
- Preparing PCN accounts and reports
- Reconciling company bank transactions
- Making payments, including salaries
- Running the payroll for over 100 staff members
- Reconciling locum clinicians and providers hours and payments
- Work closely with the Business Manager and Operations Manager
- Credit control
- Calculating practice allocations
- Submission of funding requests to meet deadlines
- Liaise with lead PCN practices, Black Country ICB colleagues and other stakeholders
- Investigate funding opportunities
- Attend regular meetings as and when required, Inc. practice finance meetings
- Help to develop and maintain effective communication within the organisation
- Collating statics and assist in preparing reports
- Ensure the compliance and safe storage of company data
- Any other ad hoc duties

KEY COMPETENCIES
Personal Qualities:
Essential Desirable
- 2 years finance experience (including 2 years NHS finance experience making commercial payments) An understanding of PCNs
- Numerate and technically competent Hold accountancy/finance
- Competent on Excel and Microsoft qualification, e.g. AAT/ NVQ applications Experience of Xero (bookkeeping
- Basic knowledge of accountancy/book software) keeping. Hold a full driving licence
- Good communicator Flexible working if and when
- Diligent with strong attention to detail required.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and sometime implement own processes
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Work autonomously and as part of a team
- Able to prioritise workload
