We have an amazing opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join Team OB in our Support Office.
As a Finance Assistant at OB, you will work closely with the Finance team and other departments to ensure we deliver a first-class service.
You will work closely with the purchasing sides of the department, providing efficient administrative support.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will manage your workload effectively by meeting multiple deadlines and responding to queries in a timely fashion.
Our Support Office is based in Tolworth, near Chessington, only a 30-minute journey from London Waterloo. We are working a 50/50 split of office and home working and are open to having conversations about working flexibly.

OB‘s Finance Assistant will:
- Process purchase and stock invoices, match purchase orders and complete the three-way match. Aiming for a 1-day turnaround from receiving an invoice to entering on into the system and sending it for approval
- Reconcile supplier statements, requesting missing invoices and credits
- Ensure all invoices and related paperwork are filed appropriately and securely destroyed when required
- Manage the shared supplier email inbox
- Respond to supplier queries and issue remittances where necessary
- Check credit card, virtual card, and staff expense receipts. Noting any unusual transactions or activity to raise this with your line manager.
- Assist the wider finance team with stock reconciliation and adhoc tasks that will ensure an efficient running of the purchase ledger
- Support with changing period at month end
- Collect and sort the Finance team’s post. Scan any relevant documents to be filed, and distribute them across the team where needed.
- Work alongside the Operations and Warehouse teams during company stock takes as required
- Contribute to finance meetings and provide support to other members of the team where appropriate
- Assist with company audit and year end processes

What we look for:
- GCSE Mathematics or equivalent – Ideally at B grade or above
- Competent user of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organised and have the ability to multi-task
- Highly motivated and able to work well to deadlines
- Previous finance or accounting experience preferred
- Experience working in a retail environment would be advantageous
