Finance Assistant - Not Another Bill / Bespokely

Your role:
We are looking for someone who’s at the beginning of their accounting journey, but keen to
learn and grow with the company. This is the ideal opportunity for someone who is bright,
motivated and keen to learn in a fast-growing, uniquely positioned gifting business.
You’ll be reporting directly into the Finance Manager, but will collaborate with every aspect
of the business to support the business needs. You’ll have daily, weekly and monthly tasks
that you will be expected to complete as well as ad hoc projects as required.
The successful candidate will be a fast learner, able to work proactively and follow process,
while also being supported with accounting studies one day a week.
What you will do:
Bank Reconciliations – daily coding of all transactions and control of cash
movements.
Setting up invoice payments and Payment runs.
Accounts focal point for all invoices (payables and receivables) – responding to
invoice queries, chasing overdue balances, requesting approvals internally.
Cash flow actuals – updating the business cash flow forecast with the previous week
actuals.
Online payment reconciliations.
Stock reconciliations.
Invoicing corporate clients.
VAT journals.
Assistance with month end processes and journals.
Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Requirements:
Strong A-Level results including Maths, Science, Business or similar
Or university leaver with equally strong subjects
Intermediate use of Excel/Google Sheets
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously
Proactive, self-starter and motivated
Desire to study for AAT, CIMA, ACCA and pursue a career in accounting
Ability to work in Ladbroke Grove (West London) office
