Role: Finance Assistant
Organisation: B2B Marketing Consultancy
Location: Flexible, remote or office based
Salary: £25,000-£28,000
The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and eager-to-learn Finance Assistant to join our growing global Ops team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a critical role in the Finance function: processing payments, updating financial records and managing invoices to name a few . To be successful in the role, you should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organisational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software though we will train you up (we use ApprovalMax, Xero and Mavenlink).
When it comes to character, the perfect candidate will demonstrate integrity, excellent mathematical skills, and attention to detail. We want somebody who sees a future career in Finance and wants to grow and develop in the team. The wider business relies on our Ops team being a well-oiled machine – we are central to the business and so must all be able to build strong interpersonal skills and have a positive, “I’ll always look to help you” attitude.

Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Setup of vendor accounts
- Credit Card reconciliation and processing
- Processing staff expense claims
- Reconciliation of vendor statements
- Bi-monthly pay runs and reconciliations
- Full ownership of the AP Inbox
General Ledger
- Regular bank reconciliations
- Intercompany ad hoc recharges
- Monthly freelancer spend reconciliation
- Purchase Order reconciliation
- Nominal & Control account reconciliations
- Accruals & Prepayment
- Maintain Fixed Asset Schedule
- Credit Control
