POSITION SUMMARY
To maintain and control the sales ledger in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, ensuring company targets in relation to debt collecting are met.
- Review all front office settlements daily to ensure all sales ledger debt can be substantiated
- Ensure all accounts are checked for accuracy and completeness and sent out on a timely basis to reduce customer queries
- Ensure credit control procedures are followed to enable debts to be collected within company credits terms
- Respond to all our customer queries promptly and efficiently to ensure bills can be settled on a timely basis and customer satisfaction is maintained and ensure all queries are logged.
- Match all payments daily and deal with any out standing issues to maintain a clear and manageable sales ledger ensuring back up is evident for accounts charged.
- Produce weekly forecast off contract to ensure constant billing practice across the business
- Effectively dealing with guest telephone queries
- Ensure communication mechanism is in place for non-adherence to policy.
- Carries responsibility for ensuring that all cash and key security procedures are adhered at all times as per the hotel policy.
Experience:
- Previous finance experience.
Skills and Knowledge
- Previous finance experience- preferable within the service industry
- Experience in dealing with customers
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrate ‘Can do’ attitude,
- Self-disciplined person who can cope with routine workload.
- Planning an organizing ability
- Process improvement orientated
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

Education or Certification
- Minimum A Level
- Finance/Accounting qualification
