M & J Mahoney and Sons Ltd is a family run business, established in 1975 with over 45 years experience. We are a widely respected Builders Merchants and DIY Centre. We have four branches in and around the Birmingham Area. The successful candidate would be based at our Head Office in Solihull
The Position
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Finance Assistant to join our small, friendly finance office in a varied role, to assist in the following:
· Recording daily cash/credit card takings on spread sheet and reconciling to till
reports
· Preparing cash for banking
· Processing Purchase Invoices and posting to Sage 50
· Raising Sales Invoices
· Credit Control
· Petty Cash reconciliation and analysis
· Dealing with customer & supplier queries
· Ad Hoc duties as required
Requirements
· Sage 50 experience preferred
· IT literacy with competency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
· A team player
· Good organisational skills
· Ability to communicate oral and written information effectively
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to use initiative
Job Details
· Full Time, Permanent
· 08.00 – 16.30hrs, Monday to Friday
· 20 days annual leave
· Salary £19,000 - £23,000, depending on experience
