We are driving the company forward in readiness for further expansion throughout the North East. We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the business and grow with us to the next level.
A minimum of 1 years’ industry experience within finance and accounting in an SME (similar type role) is required. Applicants are expected to have the relevant qualifications needed to be at the level of Finance Assistant, such as AAT. Part qualified candidates will be considered, and are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing the finance department, running all of the accounts within the business include client accounting, daily bank reconciliation, payments to clients and credit control, profit and loss reporting and client services.
In this role you will:
- Assist with running the client accounting including deposit and rental payments for single and multi-property portfolio clients.
- Reconcile office and client bank accounts.
- Provide clients with up-to-date finance reporting and maintain client relationships.
- Have awareness of operational costs and overheads.
- Arrange and oversee all company insurances.
- Keep track of our Xero account
- Action all processing of payments.
- Track employee timesheets and expenses
Essential skills & experience:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a finance and accounting role (preferably with an SME).
- Part qualified or fully qualified, minimum AAT.
- Great administration and organisation skills.
- Be dynamic and be able to self starter.
- Be a great teamplayer and good at problem solving.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Xero knowledge desirable but not necessary.
- Good with systems, including Microsoft Excel (or similar) and Office.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
