Job description

Background and Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for the day to day financial administration, mainly within the Minerals area, with potential support to other areas of the HELM division. To provide support to the Financial Controller across various financial matters, including cash management, sales / purchases administration, and month end accounts preparation.

Impact and Key Deliverables:

  • Assist the Financial Controller with all financial matters through the year.
  • Maintain the bank reconciliations.
  • Sales administration, including raising internal and external sales invoices.
  • Assistance with month end accounts preparation, balance sheet administration and ad hoc reconciliations.
  • Invoice coding and tracking, seeking approvals where required.
  • Ad hoc reconciliations and analysis as required by the Financial Controller.

Required:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience the ideal candidate will require

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working within a finance function.
  • Understanding of accounting processes and procedures, with experience working across multiple areas of a finance function.
  • Experience operating an accounting software.
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with month end procedures and reconciliations.
  • Experience in preparing or assisting with the month end accounts preparation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,500.00 per year
