Finance Assistant
Role Purpose
CBRE is seeking a London based Finance Assistant to support the regional lead for Building Consultancy and the finance team; whose primary responsibility will be to improve the up-front activities required in the invoice raising process to ultimately create a more efficient fee raising and debt collection processes. The role will involve supporting on project setup, forecasting, project maintenance and billing. Being the interface with fee earners and the UK finance team as well as supporting with the financial modelling, the distribution of P&L’S and general ledger management.
The Building Consultancy finance team will actively assist the fee earners to ensure that all information is held, prior to raising an invoice. This includes:
a) Anti Money Laundering check
b) Conflict of Interest check
c) Source correct entity and billing details
d) Source correct VAT detail
e) Source the Purchase Order number
f) Source evidence of Fee Agreement to support auditing
Key Responsibilities
‒ Project setup
‒ Project maintenance
‒ Fee forecasting and management
‒ Invoice generation and disbursement/third-party recovery
‒ Financial modelling
‒ General Ledger management
‒ Distribution of P&L’s
‒ Provide regular updates with wider team
‒ Weekly reporting of debt recovery and actively chase payments
‒ Monitor incoming transactions to ensure our forecast is correctly reconciled
‒ Attend weekly meetings with the wider UK Finance Team
Person Specification/Requirements
‒ Previous experience within a finance role
‒ PQ/studying CIMA, AAT, ACCA
‒ Debt due diligence and invoice management expertise;
‒ Previous experience using PeopleSoft will be an advantage;
‒ Strong excel skills;
‒ Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage several projects simultaneously;
‒ Excellent organisational skills.

‒ Proactive nature to get ahead on tasks rather than waiting for fee earners to send over instruction;

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
