Brand new opportunity in 2022 for a Finance Assistant professional to work with one of the UK's largest music / festival / event owners and organisers. The roster will knock your socks off and give you incredible experience and contacts within this exciting space.
Due to exceptional growth, the Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager and the wider team.
This will be a transactional level role with scope for further responsibilities.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable and organised Finance Assistant professional to join the busy finance team. The Finance Assistant will initially be based remotely and can work from anywhere in the UK, though in the near to medium term, will be a hybrid split of work from home and their offices in London. Working alongside some of the most well-loved and known music events, this role be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
- Maintain the accounts payable ledger. Processing of invoices, allocation to the correct project, setting up of supplier, running reports.
- Maintaining the accounts receivable ledger. Raising of sales invoices to customers and coding.
- Banking – Posting of bank transactions, raising of payments
- Working with the finance manager in monitoring budgets and costs and matching costs off to budgets
- Account reconciliations including the company credit cards
- Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc duties as required
Job Requirements
We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated with a can-do attitude. The event space is very fast paced and ever changing, so the ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic. A passion for music and interest to work within the music/festival/events space is a must!
The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant will have at least 1-2 years+ experience in a similar position. We are open to both client-side and agency experience.
Required Essential:
- AAT Level 3 or above
- XERO accounting software experience
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to prioritise own workload and manage time in order to meet deadlines
- Experience of delivering timely, accurate and concise reporting
- Experience of working in a finance department previously to hit the ground running

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (negotiable on level and experience)
Location: London / Remote
Hours : Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm
