FINANCE ASSISTANT
An exciting permanent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a business responsible for a large-scale, eclectic redevelopment in London!
This finance role is wide-ranging in scope and reaches across the entire business but maintains a core focus to support the finance team. The role focuses on the operational running of the purchase and sales ledgers, day-to-day banking payments, monthly reconciliations, and ledger reconciliations. This role is also responsible for responding to queries from all staff members, particularly from those colleagues within the finance team.

FINANCE ASSISTANT ROLE:
- Maintaining clear and accurate tracking and filing system for all entities and accounts
- Managing supplier invoices, checking, matching or coding them for approval on the finance system
- Preparing and sending customer sales invoices
- Checking and reconciling supplier statements
- Monitoring and reporting on debtors, ensuring customers pay on time and chasing any overdue invoices
- Managing the process for setting up new suppliers and customer accounts and maintaining existing account details within the purchase and sales ledgers
- Undertaking monthly bank reconciliations
- Preparing and posting month-end journals
- Reviewing bank transactions with the finance team and the Lettings Accountant to ensure any cash transactions are identified and journalled properly
- Solid accounts payable and receivable experience
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
- Experience working with Excel
