Your Role:
Contribute to the smooth running of the finance team on a day-to-day basis. Supporting the Director of Finance and Assistant Financial Controller with banking and accounts receivable aspects of the finance department.
- Check all invoices received at the hotel for accuracy, ensuring they meet the criteria set out by HMRC where applicable
- Log invoices received on the purchase order tracker
- Match invoices with delivery notes
- Raise any discrepancies or issues with suppliers in a timely manner
- Accurately process invoices into the accounting system, coding as per hotel accounting standards
- Check and process staff expenses and petty cash, coding as per hotel accounting standards, applying. VAT where allowable
- Support with the preparation of the hotel supplier payment run
- Preparation of supplier forms for the management of supplier accounts in the system
- Proactive management of supplier accounts, monitoring the aging balances
- Completion of supplier credit application forms.
- Meet all payment deadlines
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Assist with month end closure of accounts payable
- Month end accruals for all food, beverage and purchase orders
- Provide supporting documentation for both internal and external audits
- Build positive working relationships with suppliers
- Maintain good communication and working relationships with all departments within the hotel
- Deal with ad/hoc customer inquiry
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required

Salary: £22,000.00 per year
