Job description
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.
Do you want to help shape and be part of the development of Redbridge helping communities within the council to help shape finance?
Our Finance Apprentice role offers you the chance to start your career in Redbridge and be involved in shaping finance that impact on the local community.
As part of the finance apprentice you will be supported to undertake and achieve an AAT accredited qualification. The apprenticeship will be fully funded by the council, and you will be given time off for study as required for the duration of the apprenticeship which is typically 2 years depending on any previous qualifications achieved.
Once you complete your apprenticeship and AAT studies there is the potential to move through the career progression levels within the team and continue your career with us.
You will also need to demonstrate an awareness or interest in finance, and an ability to be a team player. Above all, you will show a passion for the work we are doing and the drive to achieve great results with a willingness to learn.
This is a full time, fixed term post for 24 months.
