What is the Job?
Administrative support mainly to the finance department starting with Purchase ledger. The role will also support our customer service and operations team and the successful candidate should be prepared to be exposed to all areas of the business. The initial focus of the role will be in the following areas:
- Data entry onto our bespoke job system to ensure all detail, including pricing is correct and reconciling to supplier invoices.
- Matching, allocating and processing all supplier invoices including raising and progressing queries.
- Managing price variation processes ensuring all systems are up to date and sales price impacts are resolved.
- Creation of sales invoices.
- Sending out customer statements and assisting in resolving any issues.
- Payroll data input and processing for approval.
- Wages analysis and Sage accounts posting.
- Customer service support – during absence or holiday cover.
The role is full time (39 worked hours per week), office based.
Who are you?
This role is a great opportunity for someone with experience of finance and accounting environments, who is looking to be part of a fast paced and growing business. Onsite training will be provided, although the successful candidate should have at least:
· A-level education (or at least 2 years relevant job experience)
· Excellent communications skills – verbal and written
· Highly numerate with meticulous attention to detail
· Highly organised with excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritise workload
· Experience of Microsoft packages – proficient with Excel (basic formula and formatting)
· Administrative experience in a busy working office
· A can-do attitude and a flexible approach
· A logical approach to your work and attention to detail
· Some level of experience / aptitude in accounting
Ideally you will also have:
· Experience of using Sage or similar accounting software
· Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
