About the role

We are recruiting for a new Finance Analyst – Cost Reporting on a full time permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join our professional team for one of the UK’s leading tour operators.

We are seeking someone that is passionate about finance and possess exceptional analytical skills. The successful candidate will source, consolidate and validate cost data for reporting purposes while looking after a small team of Finance Executives. This role will allow the opportunity to design and implement processes that will help improve efficiency and accuracy. You will be supporting the completion of P&L and balance sheets.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Accurately reporting P&L and balance sheet cost accounts, with particular focus on flight tickets and overheads
  • Responsible for managing and leading a small team and ensuring all people management processes are followed
  • Working with internal and external auditors in their audit activity and ensuring robust controls are in place and adhered to
  • Collaborating with the finance management team on best practice and process improvements

Our essential criteria for this role are:

  • Demonstrate Financial and Analytical skills with the ability to work with data from a range of sources
  • Previous financial reporting experience
  • Experience of designing and implementing processes that improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Excellent workload organisation and prioritisation skills, particularly when workloads are high, while still meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage a small team
  • Strong IT skill set with advanced experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to commute to our Gatwick office, minimum twice weekly or plan to relocate before starting work

To help you decide whether you would like to apply for this role, as a guide, a typical salary in this role is around £29,000 - £35,000 per annum (this may vary depending on your relevant skills and experience), plus benefits.

Our offices are based just outside Gatwick Airport and we offer hybrid working (within the UK). Generally, this role works from our offices twice a week, with additional days as needed depending on meetings etc. Office days are co-ordinated so that colleagues in the same team are in the office together to collaborate in person. We usually support new colleagues in the office full time for the first six weeks with us. We offer flexible start and finish times.
