Job description

You'll play a key role in helping Sky to deliver its financials, partnering with key business members to interpret and analyse financial performance, and use your influencing skills to provide recommendations on how to drive more value.
What you'll do:
  • Build great business partnering relationships with the management team for your business area, being a trusted advisor and being able to both challenge and support
  • Delivering best in class analysis, reporting, insight and financial mentorship
  • Deliver detailed analysis and recommendations for commercial deals, business decision, and investment appraisals / cases
  • Deliver accurate financial planning deliverables, including budgeting, rolling forecasts, and strategic long-range plans
  • Interpretation, and driving actions off the back of monthly results, working with our Actuals Reporting Team who prepare our management accounts
  • Manage risks and opportunities for your business area, ensuring ‘no surprises’
What you'll bring:
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CPA qualification
  • 2:1 Degree (or equivalent)
  • A track record of delivery and ambition in your career so far and a desire to develop
  • An ability to demonstrate experience of the following within a finance role for a large, complex organisation in industry or practice
  • Delivering the financial deliverables, including budgeting / forecasting, and monthly results. Experience in commercial business partnering and influencing senior team members
  • Ability to work at pace – we work in an agile, fast-moving way at Sky
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – being able to provide clarity, and guide decision making
  • A strong eye for detail and knowing your numbers
  • Strong analytics skills (Microsoft Excel), and experience of preparing analysis, insight and turning into recommendations
