For this role we are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Analyst to join our
finance team with the opportunity to develop and grow in a knowledgeable, creative, collaborative and passionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
- Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
- Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with the external accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Preparation of salary information to enable the external accountant to raise the payroll.
- Preparation of periodic AFPs and invoicing as well as chasing overdue debtors.
- Collation and review of weekly timesheets and expense claim forms into the accounting software and excel spreadsheets for reconciliation with AFPs.
- Banking reconciliation - Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data.
- Preparation and submission of all documentation relating to company grants.
- Preparation, submissions, and reconciliation of quarterly VAT Returns.
- Preparation of annual budget and variance analysis.
- Maintain the Purchase order tracker and reconcile to the expenditure, Input the bills on the accounting software and the bank account for weekly payment.
- Preparation of YE files for external accountant.
Key skills and behaviours:
- Be a team player with the ability to communicate with all functions within a fast paced business.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills and comfortable interacting with executive-level management.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- Part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competencies.
- 1 to 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
Benefits include:
£30,000-£35000 depending on experience and qualifications.
