Meraki Talent are delighted to be exclusively working with our Inverclyde based client on the hire of a Finance Analyst. This role is paying up to £48,000 and offer an extremely strong benefits package! The company operate on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.

Month-End Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Variance Analysis: Analyse monthly financial results, identifying key variances and providing insights into the factors driving performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with various departments to gather input, develop financial models, and track actual performance against forecasts.
- Closing Process: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, and reconciling accounts as necessary.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, department heads, and senior management to understand their financial needs and provide valuable insights.
- Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial support for decision-making processes, such as investment proposals, cost reduction initiatives, and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Training and Development: Offer training and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on financial concepts and tools to enhance financial literacy across the organisation.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning discussions and provide financial expertise to support the development and execution of the company's long-term goals.
- Risk Assessment: Identify financial risks and opportunities, working collaboratively to develop risk mitigation strategies and capitalise on growth prospects.
- Cost Management: Lead efforts to optimize costs and improve cost efficiency by conducting cost-benefit analyses and recommending cost-saving measures.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to drive data-driven decision-making and enhance business performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, seeking ways to enhance processes and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
