JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will assist in financial reporting for Consumer Ops, Program and Services and Finance discipline as well as providing oversight and support of property level shared services. He / she will work closely with Consumer Operations, Shared Services partner, and Finance Admin team to compile, review, and analyze financial data and to provide variance analyses to budget, forecast and actuals.
The key objective of the role includes:
- Managing the on-going monitoring, measuring, and forecasting of the Continent portion of the Sales & Marketing Funds, the financial performance and the development and implementation of actionable recommendations to address identified business challenges and opportunities
- Assist in ongoing projects funded by various funding sources
- Process journal entries, run and review General Ledger and financial reporting in PeopleSoft
- Tracking of cost and processes related to quarterly Marketing program budgets and forecast
- Work very closely with AP and business teams to review and communicate the process and financial reports
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; successful completion of intermediate accounting required
- Minimum of two years financial management experience; hotel finance experience is a distinct advantage
- Proficiency in Peoplesoft is a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of internal Marriott accounting practices (preferred)
- Knowledge of internal Marriott funding procedures and governance models (preferred)
- Business modelling experience
- Analytical abilities including clustered/shared service accounting
- Advanced Excel proficiency

Education or Certification
