We are looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to support the Surgery, Cancer and Cardiovascular (SCC) divisional finance team. This opportunity is a good development role for someone wanting to gain experience in financial management or who would like to develop their current experience with knowledge of a new area in an acute hospital setting.
The Finance Analyst role is a key role which supports delivering month end reporting, forecasting, business planning, Cost Improvement Plan analysis and costing, and the development of business cases and options appraisals for a number of directorates. The role reports directly to a Finance Manager and deputises for them as required.
The role will be expected to feed into the improvement projects within the financial management team improving processes within the team and the finance department.
This is a challenging role but offers the right candidate the opportunity to thrive and develop within a supportive finance team, as well as contribute to the improving the efficiency and offering of the Financial Business Partnering team function to the organisation.
Applicants must be part qualified/actively studying (CCAB or equivalent).
- To provide a high quality analytical service to the Business Partnering Team to support the delivery of an appropriate Financial Risk Rating as determined by the Financial Compliance Framework.
- To provide assurance to the Senior Finance Manager of the quality of historic and forecast financial information through completion of analytical review processes.
- To be accountable to the Finance Manager for the adherence to Trust financial policies and procedures, statutory requirements and requirements from Department of Health and NHS England/Improvement.
- The post holder must be part qualified with a CCAB or equivalent qualification, and have significant experience within finance and be fully committed to Continuous Professional Development.
