Established over 30 years ago, Ardens is a leading importer and supplier of continental biscuits and bakery products from across Europe to key UK retailers. To support our continued year on year growth, we are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our finance team on a full time permanent basis.

The Role

• Analysis of sales performance and margin variances, identifying key drivers.
• Analysis of promotional performance and reporting the results to the commercial department.
• Periodic review of product / category financial performance.
• Support in preparation of the annual sales forecast and periodically review performance against actuals.
• Monitor and review the monthly KPI’s.
• Analysis/Preparation of Packaging and Plastic waste.
• Assist with Ad-hoc duties, data requests and projects which may be required throughout the year.
• Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System and financial controls and policies to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently and in line with company policies and audit standards.

Skills & Experience

• Experience of transactional accounting activities including exposure to balance sheet, accruals and prepayments
• Strong excel skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets are essential, must be familiar with using VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables etc.
• Any experience with Macros, Power Query, BI or DAX would be advantageous.
• An outstanding eye for detail, ability to work under pressure and deliver time-sensitive work to a high standard.
• Be able to manage own workflow inline with internal / external deadlines.
• A can do attitude with the ability to learn on the job & use initiative.

Office based minimum of 3 days

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

• Financial analysis: 1 year (preferred)
• Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
