Financial Administrator
Preston Golf Club is looking for an experienced Financial Administrator to join our team to ensure finance matters are up to date and in line with club procedures and policies.
Job Description:
Reporting to the General Manager the Finance Administrator will have responsibility for the accounts, payroll, and financial matters within the golf club. This position will be responsible for the following:
- Administration of our Sage Accounts systems.
- Input of sales, purchase and credit notes
- Recording payments and receipts to the bank.
- Processing and recording supplier payments.
- All entries to the nominal ledger – sales and expenditure.
- Reconciliation of the Clubs bank accounts.
- VAT returns processing.
- Preparation of banking and petty cash.
- Prepare and pay for all staff salaries and properly account for PAYE and NI contributions.
- Ensure Accounting records relating to the Club are kept and accounts are prepared and audited.
- Ensure that the Club's Income Tax and VAT affairs are efficiently dealt with in conjunction with professional advisors as necessary.
- Produce timely, monthly financial statements and management accounts for the General Manager and Club Treasurer.
- Liaise with the Club Treasurer/Company Auditors as required.
- Support with general office administration tasks.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Fully qualified AAT or Qualified by experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting software, preferably Sage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
- Must be able to multitask effectively.
- Strong attention to detail required.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
