As a dynamic business we need to have the right people who are as passionate as we are about our mission to protect people on the move and due to continued growth and ambitious plans for 2023 we are looking to expand our established and high performing finance team with a new Finance Assistant, based at our Telford Head Office (TF1 6QJ) where you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function across our wider group of businesses, assisting the Finance Supervisor and Finance Director in a varied, generalist role.
Your day-to-day:
- Managing the Purchase & Sales Ledgers
- Raising Customer Invoices (manually as well as in Sage 200)
- Ensuring Supplier invoices/Expenses Sheets/Timesheets/Requests for payments are checked and posted accurately, in a timely manner.
- Managing the cashbook postings
- Reconciling bank and petty cash accounts
- Balancing the accounts on a daily basis
- Maintaining and updating spreadsheets
- Purchase and Sales Order Processing
- Credit control
- Cash allocation
- Handling and writing cheques
- Managing petty cash transactions
This role is based at our Telford Head Office, Hadley Park East (TF1 6QJ): 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 on a full time, permanent contract and due to the sensitive nature of the data we process, successful applicants will need to complete our Vetting process (at no cost to you).
The ideal candidate:
- Ideally hold an AAT Level 2 (or be undertaking) and hold equivalent experience in a finance/accounts role
- Strong use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A 'can do' attitude and high attention to detail
- Personal credibility; able to take responsibility for your own actions and show reliability, trustworthiness and honesty
- Analytical, applies logic to solve problems in an efficient manner
