MBSS have been providing Security Services to Exeter for over 38 Years; we are currently looking for an experienced 'all-rounder' Accounts Assistant to join our busy, friendly, office on a full or part time basis 40 Hours per week
Salary between £22,000 - £25,000 DOE
Job Description
Sales ledger
- Raise all sales invoices
- Upload to Santander Invoice Finance
- Credit Control and record actions
- Escalate debtors to finance manager
- Ensure debtors’ ledger is kept up to date and all issues and queries dealt with in a timely manner
Purchase ledger
- Post all suppliers invoices, checking authorisation and using accurate coding
- Prepare monthly payment run for checking and set up payments
- Collate credit card receipts, match to statements and post to Sage.
- Ensure creditors ledger is kept up to date and all issues and queries dealt with in a timely manner
Bank
- Daily entries to be posted onto Sage
- Daily reconciliations on all bank accounts
- Petty cash – record, post and reconcile
Payroll
- Collate timesheets
- Process Monthly payroll through Sage 50 Payroll
- Post Journals to sage
- Make Payments
Admin
- Post
- General Office Admin
- Inbound calls
Skills required for this role:
Essentials:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small close knit friendly, outgoing office team.
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to communicate successfully on all levels
- A very good sense of humour!
- Proficient with Excel and Office
- Experience in ledger work
Knowledge of Sage 50 a distinct advantage, but not essential.
