Job Title: Secondary Film Teacher Location: East London
We are seeking an exceptional and innovative Secondary Film Teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking school in East London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of the film industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and interactive lessons in line with the school curriculum, which are relevant to the students and the film industry
- Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate film into other subjects and provide students with a well-rounded education
- Mentor and guide students to develop their critical thinking skills and enable them to articulate their ideas effectively
- Plan and lead after-school activities, such as film clubs and workshops, to encourage student engagement and creativity
- Foster a positive learning environment that is inclusive and celebrates diversity
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and innovations in the film industry to bring a contemporary and relevant approach to teaching
Qualifications and Skills:
- A bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Film Production, or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience in teaching film at a secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the film industry and the ability to bring real-life examples into the classroom
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
- Creativity and enthusiasm in delivering lessons that are engaging, interactive, and relevant

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
