Job description
OnSite Geeks is looking for a dependable on-site IT Field Service Technician to join our growing team to provide excellent service to our customers’ clients across the Vancouver Lower Mainland Area.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform basic to intermediate or advanced hardware break-fix services on PCs, laptops, network printers, and servers, etc.
- Perform basic to intermediate or advanced IMAC (installs, moves, add, changes) services: hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other hardware deployment related activities on PCs, laptops, printers, POS devices, etc.
- Handle software installation/support/upgrades.
- Perform basic to intermediate or advanced desk side support services installing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network related issues.
- Perform basic LAN and internetworking related activities.
- Perform warranty service calls both commercial and residential clients. OnSite Geeks will get you certified at no charge if you are the right candidate after the probation period of 3 months
- Perform other types of service calls from our Dispatch/Scheduler as required
- Lead projects and train resources. Work closely with the Operations team to maximize utility and complete calls or projects as required.
- Certify/upgrade skill set as required when new customers or technology is introduced.
- A lot of traveling is involved in this kind of work
Qualifications and Skills
- Have strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills.
- Have good communications skills
- It is an asset if you have A+ certification & at least one certification from either Cisco or Microsoft.
- May have other vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP).
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle at all times.
- Must have a troubleshooting mindset
- Must have a smartphone.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Strong PC repair experience.
- Must have your own IT took kit and laptop.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision.
- Must be available to work flexible work schedules.
- Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma

Technical Qualification (Must Have)
CompTIA A+ or equivalent
CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
