Smart Metering - Field Team Manager

Due to further growth, MPAAS are currently looking to recruit an experienced Field Team Leader who have a passion for safety, the development of people & delivering excellence.

The Field Team Manager role is to operate as a leader, coach & mentor to a team of Smart Meter Engineers.

You will be responsible for supporting a team of MPAAS Smart Meter Engineers. You will be dealing directly with engineers, making sure that communication lines from your team, to management and the client are adhered to whilst carrying out ongoing support and training. Other duties will include:

  • Working closely with all the relevant business areas to make sure your team is able to operate at a high level by providing the necessary technical support to enable everyone to grow in their technical capability.
  • Motivating your team to make a difference by doing the right things and will actively support colleagues in a collaborative way to enable achievement of their goals.
  • Undertaking and evaluating coaching logs to ensure an accurate record of your team’s activities and performance, and deal with any issues that arise.
  • Provide ongoing day to day support and management to your team and the wider business.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced Team Manager with experience of the full spectrum of management and mentoring of a team of field based smart meter engineers.
  • Qualified Engineer – CCN1/CMA1 & MET1.
  • 3 phase & medium pressure qualified would be ideal but is not essential.
  • Proven ability in being able to improve teams of field-based operatives.
  • Travelling will be essential part of the role.
  • Some overnight stays will be required.

Remuneration Package

  • Basic Salary: £42,500 (+£4,000 London Weighting if you live inside the M25)
  • New Bonus Scheme – Based on contract and your team performance

  • 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays (Increased 1 day each year you work at MPAAS (following completion of a full holiday year (Jan – Dec)) up to a maximum of 25+ Bank Holidays

  • Working hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm (1 hour for Lunch)

Salary: £46,500.00-£53,000.00 per year
