We are working with a business investing in a world class, full-fibre broadband network to serve customers in the East of England and East Midlands.
They’re now looking for an experienced Fibre Engineering Supervisor to oversee field based engineers across their Lincoln area / south Lincolnshire area operations.
Reporting into Field Operations Manager, you’ll take responsibility forbuilding, managing and developing a team of field engineers, as well as ensuring successful customer installs and maintenance of my client’s rapidly growing fibre network infrastructure.
My client is revolutionising the full-fibre broadband network with a category-leading brand, next-generation technology, differentiated products and services that their customers love.
With their own build teams, they are ramping up rapidly their roll out across Lincolnshire and have ambitious and bold growth plans, so exciting times lie ahead for their employees.
What you’ll be doing
- Take full responsibility for supervision and quality control of onsite works, including site visits and audits
- Work closely with project teams and the supply chain to ensure technical requirements are understood and met
- Act as subject expert in Health and Safety to champion best practice across your engineering team
- Sponsor and support new ways of working which would improve delivery and meet agreed deadlines for delivery of project programme
The person
We’re looking for a field operation professional, ideally with at least 3 years’ experience in field-based operational teams and leading field engineers.
- Knowledge of telecommunications and fibre network technologies and their deployment
- With strong leadership and mentoring skills, as well as experience of working with key stakeholders, you should also have an understanding of what great customer services look like
- Knowledge of and the ability to develop Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and method statements to manage a safe operation
- Experience with field-based fault finding and repair techniques, including remote diagnostics
- Knowledge of installation standards, specifications and methods supporting Pole and Ducted infrastructure
- Ability to perform site surveys and establish appropriate installation routes and methods.
